Content Tab
The Webiva Content Tab provides a flexible way to add dynamic content to your website. Dynamic content can mean a Blog, a List of Events, News Items, or a Contact form.
Content Models
Each individual type of content that you create on your system is called a ‘Content Model’. Each separate row of data in a Content Model is called an entry. The underlying representation of a Content Model within the Webiva system is an individual database table. Anything you can store in a database table you can use a Content Model for.
Content Models are made up of three types of information
- a structure definition,
- data,
- and publications.
Structure Definition
The structure definition defines the format of the data stored in the Content Model by defining what fields the content model is made up of. Each field has a specific type. See Customizing a Content Model for descriptions of the available field types.
Data
Getting data into or out of Content Models is described in the sections Importing Data and Downloading Data. Manually adding, editing and deleting the data in a Content Model is described in Working with Content Model Data.
Publications
Publications are the primary way that users of your website interact with a Content Model. See Publications Overview and Publication Types for a description of the different types of publications and examples of what they can be used for.
Content Tab Overview
The video gives an overview of the difference between static and dynamic content and shows what you can do with the Content Tab.
