Files Tab

The Files Tab takes you to the Webiva file manager. The file manager provides the ability to upload and organize the documents and images used in the website. The file manager uses a drag and drop interface to move files and folders.

About File Locations

The folders and files presented in the file manager do not correspond to the actual location of files in the website. Files are NOT accessible at the same URLs as they appear in the file manager. For example, a file named ‘info.pdf’ located in a ‘documents’ folder will not be available at http://domainname.com/documents/info.pdf. Keeping files separate from website pages allows a clean URL structure for the actual pages of the website without worrying about conflicting names or folders.

This is true throughout Webiva with two exceptions: Markdown and custom content. Images and files can be embedded directly into a few isolated places in the site and the actual path can be used, but we’ll touch on that later.
