Page Editor

The Page Editor allows you full control over the content of your pages, while at the same time letting you instantly preview exactly how those pages will look to end users of the site. Webiva’s editing system provides many powerful options. Basic paragraph editing features make adding text and images to a page as simple as using a word processor. More advanced editing options allow you to fine-tune your site.

Paragraphs

A paragraph is a block of content, such as text, media, or HTML. Paragraphs are self contained chunks of your site. When you stack several of them together, you get a cohesive page. For instance, the main page of Webiva.net uses one paragraph, the Basic Paragraph. This documentation section is made up of 3 paragraphs, all pushing dynamic or contextual content to the right place.

See Basic Paragraph for more information on how to use the Basic Paragraph. See Paragraph Types for information on all the kinds of paragraphs.

Frameworks

Any piece of content that is seen on multiple pages of your site, for example, a sidebar with a login section or a menu, is considered part of a Webiva Framework. Editing a framework is exactly the same as editing a page.

See System Details for more detail on framework paragraphs.

Accessing the Page Editor

Click on a page or a framework in the website tree structure to see its details in the pane to the right of the tree.

In the details pane, click the ‘Edit Page’ button from a page or the ‘Edit Framework’ button from a framework to access the Page Editor.
